Solarium Green Energy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), an autonomous R&D body under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. Signed on 24 June 2025, the MoU represents a significant step in advancing India’s clean energy transition.
The collaboration aims to co-develop solar-based heating technologies tailored for cold-weather and Himalayan regions, including Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Arunachal Pradesh. By combining Solarium’s on-ground experience with NISE’s technical expertise, the initiative will promote energy-efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable heating solutions in challenging climatic zones.
Key areas of cooperation under the MoU include:
Joint research and development of solar heating systems
Design and prototyping of solar space heating models
Field testing and demonstration to assess performance, durability, and scalability
The agreement also outlines protocols for implementation, intellectual property rights, confidentiality, arbitration, indemnity, and termination, ensuring a structured and collaborative approach.
This partnership is expected to support India's broader goals of climate resilience, energy security, and green innovation in underserved and ecologically sensitive regions.
