Valor Estate (formerly DB Realty), through its wholly owned subsidiary and in collaboration with Prestige Estates Projects, is leading a landmark slum redevelopment initiative in Worli, Mumbai. Undertaken under the Worli Urban Development Project, the initiative spans approximately 70,000 square meters at Dr. E Moses Road and is widely known as the Jijamata Nagar Redevelopment Project.
The land, owned by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), is being redeveloped with Valor holding a 50% economic interest. The project involves the rehabilitation of approximately 4,029 residential and commercial structures. To date, 3,661 families have already been relocated through transit accommodations or rent. The Bombay High Court has ordered the remaining occupants to vacate the premises by 25 June 2025, in accordance with consent terms filed in court.
The site also houses a critical public utility—Stage-II of the Mumbai Sewerage Disposal Project at the Love Grove Sewage Pumping Works.
Once fully vacated, the land will be transformed into “The Prestige Place”, a world-class, mixed-use development with over 4 million square feet of saleable FSI, masterplanned by global architecture firm SOM. This will be one of South Mumbai’s largest urban renewal and mixed-use projects, setting a new benchmark in city redevelopment.
