New Wheels for Henkel: Pune's Automotive Warehouse Opens

Henkel Adhesive Technologies India has inaugurated a state-of-the-art automotive warehouse in Chakan, Pune, enhancing its logistics infrastructure to support the growing demands of India’s automotive manufacturing sector.

Strategically located in one of India’s premier automotive hubs, the new facility is designed to support just-in-time (JIT) delivery models, supplier integration, and advanced prototyping services. The warehouse is equipped to manage non-standard prototype materials with full SAP-based traceability, enabling precise batch tracking, manufacturing data monitoring, and expiry date control.

Built with scalability in mind, the infrastructure is capable of accommodating demand projections through 2030, positioning it as a long-term logistics and innovation hub for the automotive sector.

Chakan’s proximity to the production facilities of major global and domestic auto manufacturers offers Henkel a significant logistical advantage. The warehouse’s ability to support R&D initiatives through specialized prototype material handling will enable automotive companies to accelerate product development and respond to evolving market needs.
