Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reviewed the state’s Electronics Components Manufacturing Policy 4.0, setting an ambitious investment goal of ₹100 billion (USD 1.2 billion) between 2025 and 2030.
During a meeting at the Secretariat in Amaravati, the CM identified the Rayalaseema region—especially Sri City, Hindupur, Orvakal, and Kopparthy—as emerging hubs for electronics component production. The policy is designed to reduce India's dependence on electronic imports and strengthen domestic manufacturing and exports under the “Make in India” vision. India’s import of electronic circuit boards reached nearly USD 70 billion last year, underscoring significant home‑grown growth potential.
Naidu also highlighted Visakhapatnam, Amaravati, and Tirupati as prime destinations for IT expansion, with the state planning to allocate space for at least 500 companies. To support industry needs, the government will roll out comprehensive skill development programs, aiming to establish Andhra Pradesh as a leading knowledge economy in India.
