Karnataka is planning a dedicated Korea Park to attract machine-tool manufacturers, modeled after the successful Japan Tools Industrial Park near Tumakuru. The announcement follows Korean firm DN Solutions inaugurating a 25-acre manufacturing and R&D facility in Devanahalli taluk with an initial investment of Rs 600 crore. With Karnataka already accounting for 52 percent of India’s machine-tool production, the state aims to further expand its manufacturing footprint through sector-specific industrial clusters.
