HAL-Samtel Joint Venture Expands with New Gurugram Avionics Facility

Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) and Samtel Avionics joint venture, Samtel HAL Display Systems (SHDS), has expanded its footprint with a new manufacturing plant in Gurugram’s Udyog Vihar Phase IV. Opened by HAL Chairman Ravi K on August 25, the facility bolsters domestic defence manufacturing. SHDS is a pioneer in Indian defence avionics, known for independently building and serially producing multifunction displays (MFDs) for fighter jets like the Su-30MKI. This milestone highlights industry collaboration aimed at driving self-reliance and fortifying India's defence supply chain.
