Apraava Energy is advancing its interstate transmission system (ISTS) project under the Fatehgarh IV Transmission scheme, now slated for full commissioning by August 2025, slightly delayed from its original February 2025 target.
A key component of the ₹358 crore project is the 400/220kV, 5×500 MVA Fatehgarh-IV Pooling Station in Rajasthan. As of June 2025, the company had acquired 134 acres, received major equipment, completed 73% of substation erection, and 82% of civil works. The associated 42 ckm, 400kV double-circuit transmission line linking Fatehgarh-IV to Fatehgarh-III is progressing despite right-of-way (RoW) challenges at 13 locations in Barmer. A 0.7 ckm stretch through forest land received in-principle clearance on June 20, 2025.
The project is part of the Centre’s plan to evacuate 20 GW of renewable energy from Rajasthan under Phase III, Part A1, and was awarded to Apraava through tariff-based competitive bidding in August 2023.
In parallel, Apraava is executing the Fatehgarh III Transmission Project (Part A3), a ₹1,118 crore scheme involving a 446 ckm transmission line from Fatehgarh-III to Bhadla-III. As of June, 52% of stringing was completed, although RoW issues in Jaisalmer and Phalodi continue to affect progress.
