NIBE Secures Exclusive Rights for DRDO's "Modular Bridging System"

NIBE has entered into a licensing agreement with the Research & Development Establishment (Engineers) [R&DE(E)], Pune—a premier laboratory under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence—for the transfer of technology (ToT) of the "Modular Bridging System."

This state-of-the-art, mechanically launched mobile bridge is capable of rapid deployment in configurations ranging from 14 to 46 meters in length. It is engineered to support the movement of both tracked and wheeled military vehicles, providing critical mobility in demanding operational environments and difficult terrains.

Under the agreement, NIBE has secured exclusive rights for a period of 10 years to manufacture and supply the system within designated Licensing Regions. These include the Indian Armed Forces and other authorised government entities.

This collaboration represents a significant stride towards strengthening indigenous defence capabilities and aligns with the national objectives of "Make in India" and "Atmanirbhar Bharat."
