Larsen & Toubro’s Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business has secured significant orders for grid infrastructure development, both in India and internationally.
In India, the company has been awarded contracts for the construction of 765 kV and 400 kV transmission lines to support the integration of a renewable energy zone in Andhra Pradesh. These projects play a key role in the country's grid modernisation initiatives and green energy corridor programs, aimed at improving transmission efficiency and accommodating the increasing share of renewable energy.
On the international front, L&T’s PT&D division has won turnkey contracts in the Middle East for the development of 220 kV and 132 kV Gas Insulated Substations (GIS). These contracts, awarded by prominent transmission asset owners and operators, underscore L&T’s technological expertise and strong project execution capabilities.
“These wins mark a strategic milestone in our ongoing efforts to build resilient and future-ready grid infrastructure,” the company noted.
L&T’s PT&D business continues to strengthen its global presence by delivering advanced high-voltage transmission lines, substations, and integrated solutions that support the global shift toward renewable energy and ensure grid reliability in critical markets.
