HCLFoundation has reaffirmed its dedication to empowering youth and driving inclusive growth in Tamil Nadu by signing two significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the state government’s key departments—StartupTN and the Department of Employment and Training (DET). These partnerships aim to boost entrepreneurship and enhance vocational education across the state.

Boosting Tamil Nadu’s Startup Ecosystem

In a major push to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, HCLFoundation entered into a three-year MoU with StartupTN, a flagship initiative of the Tamil Nadu government. The agreement was signed by Nidhi Pundhir, Senior Vice President – Global CSR at HCLTech and Director of HCLFoundation, and Mr. Sivarajah Ramanathan, CEO of TANSIM.

Through this collaboration, HCLFoundation will support 100 startups, with a focus on inclusive innovation. This initiative is designed to strengthen Tamil Nadu’s dynamic startup ecosystem, drive sustainable development, and contribute to the state’s economic progress by nurturing emerging ventures.

Renewed Commitment to Vocational Training

In a parallel effort to upskill the workforce, HCLFoundation also renewed its existing partnership with the Department of Employment and Training (DET), Government of Tamil Nadu. The updated MoU was signed by B. Vishnu Chandran, Director of Employment and Training, and Nidhi Pundhir.

This ongoing collaboration aims to enhance vocational education and equip youth with market-relevant skills. By upgrading training programs and creating better employment pathways, the initiative seeks to address the evolving needs of the job market.
