TACC has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB) to collaboratively develop next-generation sustainable, durable, and high-performance concrete using TACC’s graphene-based additives.
This strategic partnership aims to harness graphene’s unique properties—including exceptional strength, conductivity, and lightweight structure—to significantly improve the strength, durability, and environmental performance of concrete. A key goal of the initiative is to reduce carbon emissions in construction, aligning with India’s commitment to net-zero emissions and long-term climate goals.
Graphene’s integration into construction materials represents a major leap toward climate-resilient infrastructure. The MoU brings together TACC’s innovation in advanced graphene technology and NCB’s domain expertise in cement and concrete research, setting the foundation for a new class of greener, stronger, and more efficient building materials.
This collaboration is expected to pave the way for scalable adoption of advanced materials in infrastructure development, contributing to sustainable urban growth and improved structural longevity.
