In a major boost to the development of Amaravati as a modern, inclusive capital, the Andhra Pradesh government has fast-tracked several large-scale residential construction projects aimed at housing government officials and public servants.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana stated that final works—including flooring, electrical fittings, plumbing, and interiors—are nearing completion for the MLA and MLC residential quarters. Developed by NCC, the project includes 12 towers comprising 288 units, each covering 3,500 sq. ft. across 10.5 acres. Six additional towers for All India Services officers, featuring 144 units, are also progressing rapidly.
KMV Projects is executing the construction of 115 bungalows for Principal Secretaries and Secretariat staff across 33.5 acres. Meanwhile, BSR Infra is building 71 premium bungalows for ministers and judges on a 50-acre parcel. L&T is developing 21 towers with 1,968 apartments for Non-Gazetted Officers on 26.5 acres, and SPCL is constructing 1,440 units for Gazetted Officers and Group-D staff across 19 acres. Interior finishing such as painting and waterproofing is currently underway.
In parallel, the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) is advancing the HappyNest residential project for the general public. With the involvement of top-tier infrastructure firms, Amaravati is undergoing a rapid transformation that promises to reshape its skyline and strengthen its administrative core.
