RITES to Transform Karnataka Colleges with ₹47 Crore Turnkey Project

RITES Ltd. has secured a ₹47 crore turnkey contract from the Department of Collegiate and Technical Education (DCTE), Karnataka, for the construction and renovation of Government First Grade Colleges across the state.

The project, part of the PM-USHA (Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan) scheme under the University Grants Commission, was initially proposed as a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) assignment but has now been converted into a turnkey contract. Under the new scope, RITES will handle end-to-end execution, including civil works, renovation, and project management services.

The work is scheduled to be completed within 36 months from the agreement date and is aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure and ensuring better access to quality higher education across multiple districts in Karnataka.
