On 14 July 2025, the Rajasthan Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, approved three major policy initiatives aimed at positioning the state as a hub for medical tourism, planned urban growth, and green energy transition. The approved policies include the ‘Heal in Rajasthan’ Policy 2025, the Township Policy 2025, and the Rajasthan City Gas Distribution (CGD) Policy 2025.
Cabinet Minister Sumit Godara introduced the Rajasthan CGD Policy 2025, designed to accelerate the shift toward a gas-based economy. The state has also cleared joint ventures with central public sector undertakings (PSUs), expected to attract ₹11,200 crore in renewable energy investments.
Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa highlighted that the ‘Heal in Rajasthan’ Policy 2025 aims to make the state a global destination for medical value travel, offering affordable, high-quality healthcare. The policy promotes an integrated healthcare model, combining modern medicine with Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, and Siddha, while incentivizing investments through the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS) and tourism initiatives.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel announced the Township Policy 2025, which focuses on world-class urban infrastructure. Under the policy:
Residential townships must allocate:, 7% of land for parks and playgrounds, 8% for public utilities, 2.5% for residents’ welfare associations
Industrial townships must reserve 5% of land for workers’ housing
These comprehensive policy moves are expected to boost economic development, improve quality of life, and reinforce Rajasthan’s position as a progressive and investment-friendly state.
