NHAI's Agra-Gwalior High-Speed Corridor Attracts 10 Major Bidders.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has received bids from 10 infrastructure firms for the 88-km Agra-Gwalior high-speed corridor, which is set to be developed under a build-operate-transfer (BOT) model at an estimated cost of Rs 4,613 crore.

Notable bidders include IRB Infrastructure Developers, Adani Enterprises, PNC Infratech, and Dilip Buildcon. The technical bids for the project were opened on 25th February 2025.

Approved in August 2024 as part of a broader initiative to develop eight national high-speed corridors, this project aims to more than double the capacity of the Agra-Gwalior stretch of NH-44. The corridor will be fully access-controlled and is projected to reduce travel distance by 7% and travel time by 50%, which will contribute to lowering logistics costs. The completion of these eight projects is expected to generate around 4.42 crore man-days of direct and indirect employment
