A decades-long dream of the people of Mulugu is finally taking shape, as the state government has officially begun construction of a state-of-the-art bus station at the district headquarters. This milestone development was announced by Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar during a foundation stone laying ceremony held on Sunday.
The new hi-tech bus terminal, with an estimated cost of ₹4.8 crore, is being built to meet the growing transportation needs of the region. The foundation stone was jointly laid by Minister Prabhakar and Panchayat Raj Minister Seethakka, marking a significant occasion for the local community, which has long awaited improved transit infrastructure.
Speaking at the event, Minister Prabhakar reaffirmed the Congress government’s dedication to addressing long-standing public demands since taking office. He highlighted the administration’s broader commitment to strengthening transportation infrastructure statewide, particularly in underserved agency areas like Mulugu. The new terminal is expected to significantly boost connectivity and improve public amenities, paving the way for enhanced mobility and development in the region.
