Microchip Technology India, a leading provider of semiconductor solutions, has acquired 1.72 lakh sq. ft. of office space in Bengaluru’s Whitefield for ₹176 crore, according to data from Propstack.
The acquisition includes two commercial blocks located in EPIP Zone, Phase II, one of Whitefield’s most prominent IT and business districts. The seller, Ascendum Solutions India, transferred blocks comprising built-up areas of 92,098 sq. ft. and 80,395 sq. ft., each spread across a basement, ground floor, and three upper levels.
This strategic investment reflects Microchip’s intent to scale operations in India amid rising demand for advanced electronics and embedded solutions. The Whitefield office will enhance the company’s presence in a region known for robust connectivity, talent access, and a strong ecosystem of tech and R&D firms.
The move also highlights Bengaluru’s continued prominence as a global hub for semiconductor and electronics companies, reinforcing Microchip’s long-term commitment to the Indian market.
