Lenskart Sees the Future: Invests in AI Smart Glasses

Lenskart, a leading eyewear retailer, has made a strategic investment in Mumbai-based deep-tech startup Ajna Lens, known for its AI-powered extended reality (XR) glasses. This collaboration aims to accelerate Lenskart’s smart eyewear capabilities, following the launch of its Phonic audio glasses in December 2024.

Though the investment amount remains undisclosed, Lenskart plans to combine its design and engineering expertise with Ajna’s advanced XR technology to develop next-generation smart glasses for a wider audience. The move underscores Lenskart’s growing focus on wearable tech and its ambition to expand its smart eyewear portfolio.

“This investment marks the next chapter in our Smart Glass journey,” said Peyush Bansal, Co-Founder and CEO of Lenskart. Operating in 14 countries through an omnichannel model, the company continues to leverage consumer insights to drive product innovation.

The partnership aims to redefine the wearable tech category by blending cutting-edge technology with style and everyday functionality.
