ITC to Invest ₹20,000 Crore in Future-Focused Growth

ITC Ltd., a diversified Indian conglomerate, is set to invest ₹20,000 crore across its varied business segments over the medium term, as part of its vision to build a "portfolio for tomorrow," Chairman and Managing Director Sanjiv Puri announced at the company's 114th AGM.

Puri also addressed questions regarding ITC Infotech, the group’s wholly-owned technology services arm, stating that while no immediate actions are planned, strategic options such as a demerger or restructuring would be considered at the appropriate time. He praised ITC Infotech's steady growth and expanding global footprint, noting that its current structure supports operations across 40+ countries and aligns with industry norms.

The investment initiative signals ITC's ongoing commitment to long-term growth and diversification, while the review of ITC Infotech’s structure points to a potential strategy for unlocking greater value from its digital and technology assets.
