India's Green Leap: SECI Secures 60 GW in Renewable Energy Deals

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), has successfully executed over 60 GW of Power Sale Agreements (PSAs) for renewable energy projects—a major milestone in advancing India’s clean energy mission.

These agreements span a broad mix of solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects, representing a significant portion of the country’s growing renewable capacity. By ensuring long-term purchase commitments and payment security, the PSAs enhance investor confidence and drive capital inflow into India’s low-carbon energy economy.

SECI Chairman and Managing Director Santosh Kumar Sarangi remarked, “Signing 60 GW worth of PSAs in just fourteen years reflects SECI’s pivotal role in India’s clean energy journey. We remain committed to enabling the nation to meet its ambitious renewable energy goals.”

Looking ahead, SECI is focused on emerging areas such as energy storage, green hydrogen and ammonia, and next-generation power supply models to accelerate India’s energy transition.
