Archean Chemical Industries, along with its wholly owned subsidiary Neun Infra and step-down subsidiary SiCSem, has signed a fiscal support agreement (FSA) with the India Semiconductor Mission on 11 May 2026 under the Semicon India Programme.
The agreement marks a key milestone in formalising capital expenditure support for India’s first approved silicon carbide (SiC) based compound semiconductor fabrication and ATMP facility. The proposed project will be developed at Info Valley in Bhubaneswar with an estimated investment of around ₹2,067 crore.
The facility will integrate end-to-end wafer fabrication and packaging capabilities, with a planned annual output of approximately 60,000 SiC wafers and 96 million SiC MOSFETs and diodes. It is expected to cater to high-growth sectors such as electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, smart grids, 5G telecommunications, industrial automation and data centre infrastructure.
Officials said the agreement reinforces India’s efforts to build a domestic semiconductor ecosystem and reduce reliance on imports in advanced chip manufacturing technologies.
