Hyatt Hotels is poised for significant expansion in India in 2025, planning to add 1,350 keys across six new hotels. These properties will be located in Ghaziabad, Kasauli, Kochi, Bhopal, Vithalapur, and Jaipur, reflecting Hyatt’s strategic focus on India’s growing luxury and leisure hospitality markets. Currently operating 50 properties in India, Hyatt aims to double this number to 100 over the next five years.
Sunjae Sharma, Managing Director of India and Southwest Asia at Hyatt Hotels, highlights the company's commitment to growing its lifestyle brands, such as JdV and Andaz, while also introducing Standard Hotels—a recently acquired lifestyle brand—in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, and Bengaluru.
In addition to these developments, 2025 will mark the debut of Hyatt's tenth brand in India—Destination—with new properties in Jaipur and Jim Corbett, further diversifying its portfolio. Within the luxury segment, three new Alila properties are under construction in Igatpuri, Coorg, and Lansdowne. Meanwhile, the eagerly awaited Noor-Us-Sabah Palace in Bhopal, Hyatt’s first Unbound Collection property in India, is slated for a 2026 opening.
