The Tamil Nadu government is developing a 200-acre aerospace park in Sulur, Coimbatore, designed to serve as a comprehensive hub for aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). Strategically located near the Sulur Air Force Station, the facility will house an integrated industrial cluster for engineering firms, R&D labs, and maintenance providers. This initiative aims to strengthen Coimbatore’s footprint in India's expanding aerospace and defence sector while advancing the state's high-value industrial infrastructure.
