The Finance and Contracts Committee (F&CC) of the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) has approved 25 infrastructure development projects with a total outlay of ₹141.7 crore, aimed at upgrading civic amenities across the city.
The projects focus on improving roads, stormwater drainage, sewerage systems, water supply, street lighting, and other public infrastructure. Among the key approvals is the development of Atal Park and Atal Smriti Kendra in Dharampur village at a cost of ₹8 crore. The committee also cleared beautification works at secondary garbage collection points under the Swachh Bharat Mission in areas including Daultabad, Carterpuri, and Khandsa.
In addition, the F&CC approved the strengthening of ageing sewer lines in Civil Lines, Sadar Bazaar, and Jacobpura, along with the installation of a stormwater drainage system in Sectors 9 and 9A, which frequently face waterlogging during the monsoon.
Major water supply pipeline projects for villages such as Dhankot and Daultabad were also sanctioned. Several other infrastructure initiatives in villages including Dhumaspur and Maidawas, each with allocations exceeding ₹9 crore, have been approved as part of the overall development plan.
