NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Ltd. (NGEL), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) to develop renewable energy projects in Goa.
The partnership aims to establish projects with a total capacity of 300 MW or more, potentially incorporating advanced energy storage systems. According to an official statement, the collaboration will focus on setting up solar and hybrid energy projects across the state. The MoU was signed in the presence of the Chief Minister of Goa, along with senior officials from NTPC REL and GEDA.
This initiative aligns with NTPC REL’s broader strategy to scale up renewable energy operations nationwide and supports the NTPC Group’s long-term clean energy transition goals. It also reinforces Goa’s efforts to promote sustainable development and enhance energy security through increased adoption of renewable energy sources.
