Premier Energies has successfully commissioned a 1.2 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing line at Fab City, Hyderabad, Telangana, becoming one of the first Indian companies to operationalise TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) technology—renowned for achieving solar cell efficiencies above 25%.
The new production line features advanced 16-busbar architecture, enhancing power density and energy output under real-world conditions. This milestone marks a significant advancement in Premier Energies’ shift towards next-generation, high-efficiency solar technologies.
As part of its long-term growth strategy, the company aims to expand its manufacturing capacity to 8.4 GW for solar cells and 11.1 GW for modules by June 2026, strengthening its position as a leading vertically integrated solar manufacturer in India.
