UltraTech's India Footprint Grows with New Maihar Grinding Mill

UltraTech Cement, India’s largest cement producer, has announced the commissioning of its second cement grinding mill at its Maihar unit in Madhya Pradesh on June 26, 2025. The new facility adds 1.8 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) to UltraTech’s production capacity, reinforcing its ongoing expansion strategy.

This follows the commissioning of the first grinding mill at the Maihar unit in March 2025. With this latest addition, UltraTech’s total consolidated domestic grey cement capacity has increased to 186.86 MTPA, while its global cement capacity, including international operations, now stands at 192.26 MTPA.

In a regulatory filing, the company stated: “We are pleased to announce the commissioning of the second cement grinding mill with a capacity of 1.8 MTPA at our Maihar unit in Madhya Pradesh, as part of our ongoing capacity expansion plan.”
