Telangana’s New Solar Powerhouse: Premier Energies Hits 5.6 GW

Premier Energies has announced the commissioning of its 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility at Seetharampur in Telangana, with trial production now underway. The new plant marks a significant step in expanding the company’s renewable energy manufacturing capabilities.

Chiranjeev Saluja, Managing Director of Premier Energies, described the development as a major milestone in the company’s journey toward building a fully integrated solar manufacturing ecosystem. He noted that the facility leverages advanced technologies and strengthens the company’s presence across the value chain—from ingots to modules—enabling it to deliver reliable, high-efficiency solutions at scale while supporting India’s clean energy transition.

Sudhir Reddy, Chief Strategy Officer, said the commissioning reinforces the Hyderabad-based company’s plans to scale up integrated manufacturing, adding that the move aligns closely with India’s broader renewable energy ambitions.
