Websol Energy Systems, a leading producer of high-efficiency solar cells and modules, has signed an MoU with Linton, a global specialist in photovoltaic (PV) ingot and wafer equipment technology.
The partnership will explore setting up PV ingot and wafer manufacturing in India, with Websol procuring advanced equipment from Linton. As part of the collaboration, Linton will also provide technical expertise and training to support operational optimisation. Based in Rochester, New York, Linton brings over 30 years of experience in designing Czochralski (CZ) furnaces and crystal-processing systems for efficient solar production.
The initiative aligns with India’s rapidly expanding solar capacity and supports national goals of energy security and sustainability.
Websol Managing Director Sohan Lal Agarwal noted, “This partnership represents a milestone in Websol’s journey toward building India’s fully integrated solar manufacturing ecosystem.”
