Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has released a tender for the development of a 17.5 million tonnes per year (MTY) coal handling plant (CHP) on a pre-engineered turnkey basis in Odisha.
The scope of the project includes the complete design, supply, installation, commissioning, trial-run testing, and operation & maintenance (O&M) during the defect liability period (DLP). The work also involves coal evacuation with a capacity of 12.5 MTY from the KG mines to the Sardega CHP, currently under construction, via a pipe or trough conveyor system.
In addition, the project covers the construction of a 5 MTY automated truck loading system (ATLS) at the Kulda Garjanbahal Opencast Project (KGOCP) under the Basundhara Area (BA) of MCL in Sundergarh. The estimated project cost stands at Rs 533.74 crore.
The deadline for bid submission is 12 April 2025.
