The Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has approved capital support for Syrma SGS’s multi-layer printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing project in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh.
The approval paves the way for establishing India’s largest PCB manufacturing facility, marking a major step forward in strengthening the nation’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem. The ₹765 crore project, supported under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), will produce multi-layer and HDI/flex PCBs as well as copper-clad laminates (CCLs).
The project is expected to significantly bolster India’s capabilities in automotive, telecom, renewable energy, and defence sectors. Additionally, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has extended a support package comprising land subsidies, tax reimbursements, and capital incentives to facilitate the plant’s timely development.
This initiative underscores India’s growing focus on self-reliance and global leadership in advanced electronics manufacturing.
