OnePlus & Optiemus Team Up for Made-in-India IoT

OnePlus, a leading global technology brand, has partnered with Optiemus Electronics Limited (OEL) to locally manufacture and supply premium Internet of Things (IoT) devices in India. This collaboration supports OnePlus’ long-term vision for the Indian market and aligns with its Project Starlight initiative, focused on enhancing localisation efforts.

Under this partnership, OnePlus has commenced production of its IoT product range—including True Wireless Stereo (TWS) devices and wireless neckbands—at OEL’s manufacturing facility in Noida. This adds to the brand’s ongoing smartphone manufacturing operations in India. Designed to offer high-performance experiences across price segments, these IoT devices are tailored to meet the evolving needs of Indian consumers. The partnership began with the local production of the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3, known for its ultra-low latency, rich bass, and clear audio quality.

OEL will play a critical role in boosting Bill of Materials (BOM) level localisation, lowering production costs, and strengthening supply chain efficiency. This initiative is a step forward in supporting the government’s Make in India movement and advancing the country’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
