Goldman Sachs has inaugurated its expanded office at Ascent Worli, Mumbai, in a ceremony attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The new facility occupies the entire tenth floor and half of the ninth, marking a 50% increase in space compared to the firm's previous office in the city.
Kevin Sneader, President of Asia Pacific Ex-Japan at Goldman Sachs, described the expansion as “the next chapter in our multi-decade growth trajectory in India, underscoring the substantial opportunities we see in the market.”
Sonjoy Chatterjee, Chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs India, said, “The opening of our new office represents a milestone in our journey as we continue to grow our India franchise. The design and purpose of this space reflect our commitment to collaboration, innovation, and employee well-being, while delivering world-class service to clients.”
Goldman Sachs has had a presence in India since the early 1980s and established a wholly owned onshore operation in Mumbai in 2006. Since 2024, the firm has deployed over USD 8.5 billion in capital and supported issuers in raising more than USD 10 billion, including India’s largest IPO and block trade of the year.
