MCGM Greenlights ₹243Cr Cluster Plan for Shivaji Nagar

The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) has invited bids for the redevelopment and improvement of 18 slum rehabilitation schemes under a cluster redevelopment plan at a municipal plot in Shivaji Nagar, Govandi, Mumbai.

The project site, bearing CTS No. 1A (Part), is located in M/E Ward. The initiative aims to upgrade housing conditions and strengthen local infrastructure through a comprehensive redevelopment approach. The estimated project cost is approximately ₹243.21 crore, with a completion timeline of five years.

The redevelopment forms part of MCGM’s broader efforts to enhance living standards in Mumbai’s slum areas by providing improved housing and civic amenities to residents of Shivaji Nagar. The project is expected to play a significant role in the area’s overall urban transformation.

Interested bidders must submit their proposals by March 5, 2026.
