Whirlpool of India has launched a new refrigerator production line at its Rajangaon facility in Pune, significantly boosting its domestic manufacturing footprint. Backed by an investment exceeding ₹245 crore, the upgraded plant now boasts an annual capacity of 3.4 million units and is set to create over 750 new jobs.
Designed to produce large-capacity, premium refrigerators featuring advanced cooling technologies and modern aesthetics, the line integrates high-end automation to optimize efficiency and product quality.
"This inauguration marks a pivotal milestone in our journey, enabling us to serve the rising demand for large-capacity models while reinforcing our commitment to 'Make in India,'" said Narasimhan Eswar, Managing Director of Whirlpool of India.
