Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Badnawar in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, on August 25 to perform the Bhoomi Pujan for India’s first PM MITRA Park—a flagship initiative under the Centre’s push for integrated textile manufacturing zones.
Announcing the development, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the state is fully prepared for the groundbreaking ceremony, thanks to strong coordination with the Central government. The park is poised to become a major catalyst for the Malwa region’s industrial growth, positioning Dhar as the second major industrial hub after Pithampur.
The PM MITRA Park is expected to:
Create approximately 3,00,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities
Boost income for cotton-producing farmers through integrated textile value chains
Integrate Badnawar into the Indore Metropolitan Region, enabling access to advanced urban amenities
To attract investment, the park will offer four-lane road infrastructure, rail connectivity, and proximity to air transport facilities, creating a well-rounded logistics and industrial ecosystem.
