Greater Noida Launches ₹80 Crore Tender for 300 TPD Bio-Gas Plant

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has issued a tender for the development of a 300 TPD compressed bio-gas (CBG) plant at Astauli, located in Gautam Budh Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh.

With an estimated project cost of ₹80 crore, the proposed facility aims to convert municipal biodegradable waste into renewable CBG, advancing sustainable waste management and clean energy generation. The initiative is expected to significantly reduce landfill burden, cut greenhouse gas emissions, and promote circular economy practices.

The plant will incorporate advanced waste processing technologies for effective segregation, anaerobic digestion, and gas purification—producing fuel-grade bio-gas suitable for commercial and industrial applications. The project also aligns with the Government of India’s clean energy goals, while supporting local employment and skill development.

The deadline for submission of bids is August 25, 2025.
