Kerala's Food & Life Sciences Sector Gets a ₹100-Crore Boost

Kerala Industries Minister P. Rajeev has laid the foundation stone for RCC Nutrafill’s Food Processing and Life Sciences Manufacturing Facility at Angamaly, marking the state’s first integrated hub for manufacturing and processing in these sectors.

With an investment of ₹100 crore, the facility will span five acres and include cold storage, warehousing, R&D, logistics, and handling infrastructure for FMCG and life sciences products. The first phase is expected to be completed within 24 months, with the project projected to generate approximately 500 direct and indirect jobs across two phases.

Minister Rajeev reiterated the state government’s commitment to innovation-led industrial development and assured full support to help the facility set new benchmarks in quality and sustainable manufacturing.

RCC Nutrafill Director Sai Devarajulu Prasad emphasized the hub’s potential to catalyze growth in Kerala’s food processing and life sciences sectors, while advancing local employment, skill development, and environmentally responsible practices. The initiative is poised to enhance the region’s standing as a center for advanced manufacturing and economic development.
