SEPC Secures ₹314 Cr Punjab Smart Metering Deal

SEPC, a leading EPC company in India, has secured a contract for the implementation of a smart prepaid metering project in Punjab’s Central Zone.

The company has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Telecommunications Consultants India (TCIL). The project, awarded under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), will be executed on a design, build, finance, own, operate and transfer (DBFOOT) basis in consortium with Adya Smart Metering.

Valued at ₹313.96 crore, the scope of work includes the design, deployment, system integration, commissioning and long-term operation and maintenance of advanced metering infrastructure for the Punjab State Power Corporation (PSPCL).

The initiative is aimed at modernising Punjab’s metering infrastructure, improving billing efficiency, reducing losses, and enhancing the overall reliability of the power distribution network.
