Bajel Projects has secured a major EPC contract from PowerGrid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL) for the construction of a 400kV double circuit (D/C) quad transmission line. The project will be executed through PGCIL’s special purpose vehicle (SPV), “POWERGRID Siwani Transmission” (formerly Bikaner B Power Transmission).
The contract is part of the transmission infrastructure for the Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Phase-IV (Part 3: 6 GW) in the Bikaner Complex. Specifically, Transmission Line Package TL04 covers the Siwani–Jind (PG) 400kV D/C (Quad) line, awarded through the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) route under specification number CC/NT/W-TW/DOM/A04/25/03431.
The scope includes the construction of approximately 99 kilometers of new 400kV transmission lines. The project timeline is set at 18 months from the issuance of the Notification of Award (NoA).
This contract further underscores Bajel Projects’ expertise in delivering high-voltage transmission infrastructure and supports India’s strategic push to expand and strengthen its green energy evacuation network.
