Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) has declared Patel Engineering Limited as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for Package-1 of the prestigious Renuka Ji Dam Project, with a contract value of ₹910.08 crore (including GST). This milestone further strengthens Patel Engineering’s leadership in executing large-scale infrastructure projects that advance India’s sustainable development and integrated water resource management goals.
The project is located at Village Dadahu, Tehsil Renuka, in District Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh, and is scheduled for completion within 30 months. The scope of work encompasses the construction of three diversion tunnels measuring 9.5 meters in diameter, with lengths of 1,379 meters, 1,468 meters, and 1,590 meters. The package also includes the development of three inlet and outlet portals, approximately 6 kilometers of access roads, installation of hydro-mechanical gates, and comprehensive instrumentation systems to ensure structural integrity, operational safety, and long-term efficiency.
The Renuka Ji Dam Project aims to significantly augment regional water storage capacity, provide dependable water supply, and contribute to hydropower generation, thereby supporting sustainable infrastructure development in the region.
