IDE Technologies, a global leader in water treatment solutions, has secured a contract from the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) to design, build, and operate a 60 MLD seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination plant in Tamil Nadu.
The facility will be developed at Mullakadu in Tuticorin and is expected to significantly strengthen regional water security. IDE was awarded the project through a competitive bidding process and will execute it under a hybrid annuity-based public–private partnership (PPP) model. The scope of work includes design and construction, followed by 15 years of operation and maintenance.
Commenting on the project, Nayan Shah, Director – Sales and Marketing, IDE India, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to delivering clean, reliable, and high-quality water solutions to water-stressed regions.
