Jobs & Growth: Kerala's ₹31,429 Crore Investment Wave Begins

A total of 86 investment projects, amounting to ₹31,429 crore, have commenced construction in Kerala following Expressions of Interest (EOIs) received during the Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS) held in Kochi this February. The announcement was made by P. Rajeeve, Kerala’s Minister for Industries, Law, and Coir.

“At IKGS, we received 424 investment proposals valued at ₹1,77,732 crore. Over 20% of these have already entered the construction phase,” the minister stated. These projects are projected to generate approximately 40,439 jobs across the state.

Out of the 424 proposed projects, 268 have secured land, while 156 are awaiting allotment. Several high-value projects are scheduled to commence soon—₹1,500 crore worth in July and another ₹1,437 crore in August.

Key July projects include:

BlueStar Realtors – ₹600 crore investment in Kalamassery, Canyo Health – ₹400 crore project in Palakkad, Kaynes Technology India – ₹500 crore unit in Perumbavoor Together, these projects are expected to create 3,800 jobs.

Notable projects starting in August include:

Green Worms Waste Management – ₹117 crore, Renai Medicity – ₹500 crore, Bharat Biotech – New facility launch

Adani Logistics – ₹600 crore logistics park in Kalamassery

These developments mark significant progress in Kerala’s industrial and infrastructure expansion, reflecting the state's growing appeal to domestic and global investors.
