Andheri Slum Rehab: Hubtown's 11,000 Sq. Mtrs. TDR Boost

Hubtown has received Transferable Development Rights (TDR) totaling 11,000 sq. mtrs. from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM). The TDR was granted as part of the company’s compensation for its ongoing slum rehabilitation project in Andheri.

This allocation enhances Hubtown’s ability to utilize additional construction rights in other parts of Mumbai, strengthening its prospects for future real estate development. In Mumbai’s real estate landscape, TDRs are a key mechanism for enabling redevelopment while promoting urban renewal. “Securing this TDR highlights our commitment to supporting inclusive growth in Mumbai,” a company spokesperson stated.

Founded in 1989, Hubtown is a publicly listed real estate developer with a strong track record in residential, commercial, and IT infrastructure projects across India. Known for timely delivery, quality construction, and customer focus, the company continues to play a vital role in revitalizing underdeveloped urban areas. The Andheri project exemplifies its commitment to improving living standards through structured rehabilitation initiatives aligned with Mumbai’s broader urban development goals.
