GNFC's Vision 2027: A New Era of Growth and Efficiency

At its 49th Annual General Meeting held on 09 September 2025, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals (GNFC), Bharuch, reaffirmed its commitment to strategic growth and operational efficiency.

The company successfully commissioned a 4 MW solar power project at Charanka in June 2024 and upgraded its ammonia plant to a capacity of 2,100 MTPD, resulting in estimated annual savings of approximately ₹51 crore. A ₹613 crore coal-based captive co-generation power plant at Dahej is also underway and is expected to deliver savings of nearly ₹100 crore per year.

GNFC’s ₹1,420 crore Weak Nitric Acid-III (WNA-III) project, targeted for completion by June 2027, will boost nitric acid capacity by 48%. In tandem, a 94% expansion of the Ammonium Nitrate-II unit is planned, with the potential to generate an additional ₹1,000 crore in revenue once integrated with WNA-III.

To enhance operational excellence, GNFC has engaged a strategic management consultant to drive digital transformation, structural realignment, and margin optimization. The company is also scaling up its agri-input trading business and actively supporting key government initiatives such as PM-PRANAM, Namo Drone Didi, and PM-Kisan Samriddhi Kendras.
