Escorts Kubota to Invest ₹4,500 Crore in UP Tractor Facility

Escorts Kubota has announced a ₹4,500 crore investment to establish a state-of-the-art tractor manufacturing facility in Uttar Pradesh. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has allotted 200 acres of land for the project in Sector-10 of the industrial region.

The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh government in August 2024. The project is expected to generate around 4,000 jobs in phases. In the first phase, Escorts Kubota will invest ₹2,000 crore to set up a tractor plant, a commercial equipment facility, and associated units. The second phase will be rolled out based on market demand and capacity utilization.

The new facility will serve both domestic and international markets, strengthening India’s role as a global hub for farm machinery manufacturing. The company also plans to develop shared services for Kubota’s global R&D operations from India, reinforcing the country’s capabilities in agricultural equipment innovation.

Formed in 2019 as a joint venture between India’s Escorts and Japan’s Kubota Corporation, Escorts Kubota currently manufactures tractors, engines, agricultural machinery, and construction equipment. This project is expected to significantly boost Uttar Pradesh’s industrial growth and its emerging agricultural machinery
