Minda-Toyodenso: Gearing Up India's Automotive Switch Market

Minda Corporation has entered into a joint venture with Japan-based Toyodenso Co. to produce advanced automotive switches tailored for the Indian market. The collaboration will span the entire value chain—design, development, manufacturing, and marketing—catering to two-wheelers, passenger vehicles, and other automotive segments.

Under the agreement, Minda Corporation will hold a 60% majority stake, while Toyodenso will own 40%. A new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility will be set up in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with operations expected to commence in the second half of FY 2026-27.

Ashok Minda, Chairman and Group CEO of Minda Corporation, called the venture a strategic step toward enhancing smart mobility solutions and strengthening indigenous manufacturing through globally recognized technologies.

Kiyoshi Koide, President of Toyodenso, highlighted the company’s commitment to stabilizing its business and expanding its footprint in India’s rapidly growing automotive market through this partnership.
