Ashok Leyland, the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group, has announced a significant expansion initiative in Western India, including Maharashtra, aiming to reinforce its presence in the region’s rapidly growing commercial vehicle market.
The company plans to add 30 new touchpoints to its existing network of 150 across Western India. This expansion is intended to leverage the region’s strong economic growth, accelerating infrastructure development, and rising demand for light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
Ashok Leyland stated that the initiative will strengthen its market presence while improving service accessibility and customer convenience. Currently, its LCV operations in Western India are supported by 29 dealer partners, 130 service workshops, and over 350 Ashok Leyland Trained Technicians (ALTTs).
The existing network provides service coverage approximately every 35 kilometres. Over the next year, the company aims to increase network density to a touchpoint every 25 kilometres, enhancing after-sales support and ensuring faster turnaround times for customers across the region.
