UFlex Bags $₹700$ Crore for Mega-Expansion in Karnataka!

UFlex, a leading flexible packaging solutions company, has announced an investment of over ₹700 crore to expand its packaging film production line in Dharwad, Karnataka.

The project will add 54,000 MTPA of capacity, increasing UFlex’s total global packaging film capacity to 6,90,160 MTPA from 6,36,160 MTPA. Group President and CFO Rajesh Bhatia said the expansion will strengthen the company’s ability to deliver scalable, high-quality packaging solutions. He also pointed to other strategic initiatives underway, including the enhancement of aseptic packaging capacity in Gujarat and new manufacturing facilities in Egypt, Mexico, and Noida.

These investments are expected to generate nearly ₹3,000 crore in incremental revenue, with the full benefit expected by FY28. Bhatia added that GST rationalization and India’s EPR framework will further boost demand for recycled packaging materials.
