Subir Engineering Works has secured a ₹399.32-crore contract for the construction of the Mahakal Mahatirtha in Matigara near Siliguri, West Bengal.
The project involves extensive construction and development of supporting infrastructure, including facilities designed to accommodate and attract pilgrims and visitors from across the region. The work is scheduled to be completed within 24 months from the issuance of the work order.
Once finished, the Mahakal Mahatirtha complex is expected to emerge as a major religious and cultural landmark in the region. The development is also likely to boost tourism and pilgrimage activity in Siliguri and the Darjeeling district, contributing to the local economy and cultural heritage of West Bengal.
